Expressions E-Course Experience...

Today I thought I would share some of  the sketches and paintings that I have been doing as part of the Expressions E-course that I have been doing.  The course ends tomorrow and I will miss it.  It has been a fabulous experience and I have learnt soooooo much!!!  Regina is a fabulous teacher and if you ever have the opportunity to take one her e-courses dont hesitate- you will get much much more than value for your money.  This particular e-course of hers concentrated on drawing and painting faces and included artists interviews, self-love inspiration for artists, drawing, shading, skin tones, expressions, colour, texture and so much more.  It was a feast of inspiration.  All I want to do now is paint faces every day!
The course material is still available until December 2013 so you can still sign up here.

Wishing you all a happy productive and creative weekend.
much love

Fibre Arts n Crafts Fair.....

On Saturday 13th April my friend, Linell, and I set off on our "annual" outing to a tiny little town/village called Wakkerstroom. It is a two hour drive from where we live.  The Natural Fibres Fair is held in a small church hall in the middle of town.  It's packed with sellers of natural fibres, natural and handspun yarns, wools, embroidery, sewing, weaving, crochet, knitting and so much more.  A feast of colour and texture.  So much inspiration - it makes your head spin.

After the Fair we went meandering around the village looking at all their quaint little shops and stopped for lunch in one of  the eateries.

What  a lovely day !!!!

This is what I brought home......

What I would have liked to have brought home too......

PLUS  tons more YARN of course.... :o)

52 Weeks of Art Journalling...

I have finally caught up with Dianna and here are my two art journal pages for week 13 and week 14 of our 52 week art journaling challenge....

The word for Week 13 was SUN

The word for Week 14 is  RAINBOW:

I  couldnt think of what to do with these two words and because I need practise drawing faces for the e-course that I am currently participating in - I decided to personify these two words.  Both drawings/paintings are done with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils.  They are quick casual portraits, done just for FUN!

Tomorrow my friend, Linell, and I are off to Wakkerstroom to enjoy some browsing and shopping at the Annual Natural Fibre Craft Fair.

Wishing you all a very happy, cosy, creative weekend.
much love
