A beautiful Muse......

Hi everyone,  I have been so busy with my Journey of Yes group and meeting some new goals and challenging myself healthwise that my blog has , unfortunately, suffered a little bit over the past months.  I have still been squeezing in some creative projects, mosting art journaling and painting.
Here are two recent paintings that I have completed:

This is mixed media on canvass. I used acrylic paints and oil pastels and some collage elements.

This one is also mixed media, on 300gsm watercolour paper.  I used acrylic paints and acrylic inks and a smidgeon of glitter .....

In all my busyness these past few months I neglected to notice that my blog turned ONE year old in August.   So I will be holding a give-away to celebrate this happy occasion on my next blogpost!   WATCH THIS SPACE!

Art Doodle Love....

The Art Doodle book I ordered ARRIVED!!!!!!  Oh, it is simply doodelicious!!!!!!  I absolutely love it.  It is a prompted Art Journal that you can fill up with doodles, sketches, thoughts, lists, photos, dreams, goals, quotes etc etc....

LET YOUR HEART BE LIGHT

A Few more Doodles.....

My little watercolour art journal is quickly filling up . I am now half-way , having done 10 pages.  I am having such fun with these. I even took my journal with me to the hair salon the other day and did some artwork while having my hair coloured. :-)

 

I am excitedly waiting for this Art Doodle book to arrive in the post:

It's a work book with various prompts for different pages, styles, techniques....  Yummy!!!

Revamped T-Shirts

Two of  my favourite plain t-shirts had cooking oil stains on them - they still looked good otherwise.  So I decided to revamp them with some fabric paint and stencils & stamps.  I am very happy with the results.....

Fun with Flourescents ........

I needed some cheering up this cold, grey, rainy weekend past so I grabbed some Day Glo colours and painted some little sketches on watercolour paper.  The paints I used are acrylic. Outlines with black  PITT artist pens. The first one is called MUSE.....

The second one I did is called YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE.......

"BE COLOURFUL"

Colourful Doodles....

I made myself this tiny art journal with some good watercolour paper pages.   The cover is firm cardstock covered with quilting fabric.  I have had fun doodling some colourful little pages all in the same style:

These were all done with Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils on Bockingford 190gsm paper . Outlines were done with various black markers & a gold paint pen on the last one.

What Have I Been Up To ? ...

Well, I have been working hard on goals for improved HEALTH.....

Eating a lot more Raw foods:

Doing my Raw Juice Therapy daily:

Spending time outdoors daily and drinking lots of water:

 Even went for a short walk - had to take it slow because my knee is still a bit "wonky" :

 Trying to get more art done:

And even made myself a new watercolour art journal:

And learning to BE PRESENT and....

It's almost SPRING....

Today was rose pruning day in my garden.

 I pruned the roses and the shrubs. The sun was shining warmly , the sky was a perfect blue and I had 3 awesome garden assistants to help me:

 Big Bear- aka the bodyguard- he lies in the shade and keeps watch over my every move...

 Bonny Bon-Bon  aka the hosepipe inspector - who makes sure that the water is coming out of the hose while we water the garden and ends up soaking wet and looking like a drowned rat....

And Shadow - aka the Bug-catcher.  She runs around madly chasing every little flying insect in the yard. She stops occasionally to "eat" a flower-  well you know they   look so good and they smell so good..... just a pity they dont taste so good! 

While we were busy gardening, the three of us, I noticed some definite signs of spring....

Little snowdrops peeping thru the foliage...

Sweet violets flowering gently under the apricot tree....

The first elegant Arum lily .....

An oh-so-fragrant purple Iris .....

And of course the Jasmine... OH the Jasmine.... my favorite favorite!  It is blooming prolifically this year because there has not been much frost (saying that with fingers crossed).

Isnt a garden the most wonderful of blessings......
